stress
This was a very good topic. It is in all of our lives and sometimes we need to stop and consider ways of reducing our stresses before they take control of you life
Good points Francisco. Sometimes worrying helps in that it keeps important tasks top of mind. Other times, it hurts because worry can become a distraction.
I also try to work with others during the time needed. I do not think being worried about things help in anyway.
I agree, Scott...I liked the ideas on the different ways to deal with t he stressors that cannot be eliminated. I think that little "on and off switch" in my mind can help me to turn off the stress that I cannot eliminate and then go forward and tackle my day!
Thanks,
Toni
I agree - we all need to take a moment to just STOP and consider the ways to reduce stress instead of just saying, "I'm so stressed out...." and do nothing about it.
Thanks,
Toni
Yes, "baggage" is a good word for it Scott.
I like the differnet ways to deal with the stressors that cannot be eliminated or reduced. The techniques described help me with work, and personal stressors that are daily challenges. These techniques change how much "baggage" I carry around with me every day.
I could not agree more. Stress plaques us all
Excellent Kris. Glad to hear your workday is a little smoother with lists.
Yes, this is true Holly. Sometimes when we write stressors on paper, they feel smaller and less impactful than before. This process can really put things into perspective for us.
I agree. I have never thought to make a list of stressors. It is eye opening to see the little things I find stressful. In the grand scheme of things they really do not matter at all.
Making the list and finding a way to work on each item effectively has helped me make my work day much smoother.
Yes, when we make a list, it gets our stressful experiences out of our heads and on paper.
I agree especially about listing stressful experiences so that they can either be reduced or eliminated.
I'm glad you benefited Arthur! Yes, it's important to think carefully about stress reduction so it does not take over.
