I tel my students to make a list, daily to do list, and put things in order from most importent to least importent to manage their time for school and their personal life.

I read as a stress release.I find that going in my room and being quiet and reading a good book gives me a time out to rethink my stressful situation.

Dan, I think this is a fair concern. This being said, for me, it's all about moderation. If we dive too deep into any coping mechanism, even healthy ones, they can end up negatively impacting our lives. As in everything, we've got to find balance.

I agree with that sometimes stress can cause more stress. you think by going out and having a few drink will relax you, and you may endup, with getting arrested with DUI, especialy with young students that want to go party and have fun...

That is so true, however I tell my students going out and getting drunk is not healthy and can also cause more stressors than it eliminates.

It is important for career college students find a way to manage their stress. With the fast paced learning environment it is important to have an "out" for one's self to decompress in a healthy fashion
