I use power point presentations in my class and internet videos as well. This helps the student see and understand an actual dental procedure.

As long as the videos are applicable to the topic/career, I encourage YouTube.

I actually like to use youtube videos sometimes because it's always interesting to see the other related videos that pop up on the side, which tends to generate a lot of discussion and interest with my students, especially when we're searching videos about their careers.
I am not a powerpoint fan, and i have even been told that it is not recomended for my style of teaching. I tend to be more hand on. I have used some videos in class and they are helpful, but after the video they all want to just watch you tube. I know that there are wonderful video clips i can use on there, but i really try to stick to the things they can touch and see in person. I teach vet tech.
