Motivational Material

Many years ago I had an instructor that had a motivational "Thought For the Day" on the board. It was discussed for a couple of minutes , its origins, deeper meanings , etc.
I know that it was beneficial for me and of course it served to encourage as well. Your thoughts?
Also, if you do approve .... is there a web-site for this type of material?

Hi Stephanie,
I have learned that most students love inspirational quotes. We need to give our students as much encouragement as possible.

I agree! I think the inspirational quote of the day is not only inspirational, but a good topic of group discussion and sharing thoughts as a class!

Hi Amy,
Quotes are even better when they are applicable to the course content. Quotes are so up lifting, I love them.

Patricia Scales

I too use inspirational quotes. However, I make sure they are relavant to that days discussion.

Hi Terry,
I love thoughts for the day. I do not know of any websites in particular, but I have a booklet/brochure of inspirational short sentences. Most students love it when I share the inspirational reading with them.
