Positive reinforcement

How to provide positive reinforcement prior to test taking.

Hi Rose,
I love your perspective! I can tell you are such an encouraging instructor, and you geniunely care about your students.

Patricia Scales

Be up beat with them. Encourage the student when you go over review with them. Open the chapter in book go over their homework. Let they gave you answer back to you. They would like to know what they got right. Encourage them to study the night before.

I like to review the test by asking the questions on the test in creative ways. I like to have the students talk about what makes the answer correct and what makes the answer incorrect and why. It is so important for students to know what and why something is wrong or what and why it is right.

I have had test review sessions that the entire class is involved, designed like the TV game Jeopardy but with groups.

Hi Philip,
What a great way to get students involved and make them feel like they matter.

Hi sandra,
Try giving a study guide and let them know that they can do well if they know their study guide.

I like to review the content the test and discuss in an open forum any concerns a student may have with the material
