I agree.....
.always follow up on the assignments.
Moving from the front of the room to the back sends some of the students back into the learning zone. Sometimes it does not and the student is so involved in using their cell phones or texting that they don't even notice you coming toward them. That is when the challenges begin of how to react to the student who doesn't really care that you are there. Their attention is not redirected.
I do agree with the use of a seating chart. The minute papers are a great strategy for the students to direct their attention and summarize and share their thoughts with the group.
I agree with you, if you move around the students will be more attentive and will participate more
Hi Nancy,
Move around. Moving keeps the students interested and engaged. YOU will gain more energy from moving around.
Patricia
For one thing I have a tendency to stay in one place as I'm lecturing. I have taken note that this is not the best thing to do.
Hi Nancy,
What will you utilize from Module 2? How was the information useful to you?
Patricia
As a new instructor I found that module 2 of 104 was very helpful to me.
