I find that this area is somewhat difficult for me at times. This section really assisted me with the ideas given and the thoughts and rationale behind them. I will begin to implement this new information in my classes immediately.:)

I too have found this area to be challenging. Being a new instructor, I think I came in thinking that if you are an adult and in school then you would be totally engaged. This section was truly helpful in identifying some student behaviors I have seen and some very practical ways of addressing issues without alienating them.
It is amazing how you can 'fit' my current students into these catagories. This lesson does offer some good stratigies for dealing with our different personalities. I thought this lesson was very helpful also.
I find that many times students just need to know that you sincerely care about them and are interested in them suceeding. Your suggestions were great on this topic.
