Dealing with students that want to control the class

When you have students that want control you have to give them projects they can do to help out in class so they feel important. Then they don't distract the other students.

Hi Howard,
Some students are just leaders, and we need to give them as many responsibilities as we can in the classroom.

I too give them the role as assistant. This way it keeps them busy helping other students and learning the material that we discuss and they also learn alittle humility.

Hi Regina,
Giving these students lead roles are fine, but we have to remember and let other students see that we are still in control of the classroom.

I also give these students leadership responsibilities to help other students with the assignment or write the solution on the white board. However, sometimes this can backfire if not handled carefully or done too often.

I give these students leadership assignments. They also function as a classroom assistant to keep them from disrupting the class.

Hi Sadie,
Some students are born to be leaders, and they thrive off of having control. Give them a leadership role in the classroom.
