student attention
Eyes rolling, yawning or sighing in class is an indication I am losing the class. I switch gears and have class interaction by way or hands on, debates or rolls playing. Energizes the class, problem solved.
Hi Alice,
Try field trips, guest speakers, scenarios, group work, etc. to add some excitement.

Most of the courses I teach are really dry and dull. I try to inject real life examples and even my own personal encounters. This seems to keep my students attention as well as letting them realize that the content is indeed used in the real world
Hi Karen,
I like to be very energetic so that I can hold my students attention.

Hi Stephen,
As instructors we must do our due diligence to keep our students up beat. Our students have a lot going on, and they will go to sleep on you if they are not kept excited.

Stephen, I completely agree with you on student attention. Your techniques have worked for me as well.
