asking students permission
teaching in a clinical situation can be difficult if the student's focus is wrong. Asking their permission to demonstrate to them again what they are needing to do and then sitting to watch them can bring them back to the proper focus and technique.

Some instructors like putting students on blast. It is based on the instructor's personality. I typically like to stand beside of the inattentive student or give a stare to reel them back in.

Would calling the student out like that,Knowing they might not know because they werent paying attention back fire? By doing that and embarrassing the student cause tention?

When students are asked to do something and they are not quite sure how to do it, they tend to gain focus quick because no one likes to be called upon and not know.
