Challenging Students
This is a lesson that I will refer back to as I have challenges everyday! It is scary in todays world, dealing with angry students as you are never sure how far they may take things
I encounter this all the time. I try to empathize with the student and find a way they can still be successful and engaged.
I just finished a term with a student that was going thru a lot of personal issies with his family and brought that anger into the class room. The main concern was that he had so many outside influences that he was not completing the assignments and failing the class.
I listened to him, discussed options with the administator but still required him to complete the assignments to pass the class.
It was a difficult term. These courses are nice but nothing really prepares you for when it happens
