Pay attention
During testing you just have to pay attention to the room. Let them know your watching and they are more apt not to cheat
Hi Donald,
In your situtation, I suppose during test time, you do not do anything else other than carefully watch your students. You have many to watch, simply do the best that you can. Cheating happens in classes of all sizes.
Patricia
I the course I teach we have up to 61 students and 2 instructors, it can be a challenge to watch all students during testing. I agree that just moving around the class helps with cheating students. We also have 61 computers to hide behind which also poses a problem.
Hi Denise and Patricia:
Moving around the room has been helpful for me, and paying attention to students and not being absorbed in something else also helps control cheating in my experience.
John
Hello Denise,
You're right! You have to monitor the situation as best as possible and constantly remind your students to keep their eyes on their own paper.
Patricia
I agree. Walking around the room does help. What do you do in large classes where each seat is occupied? This sort of situation is just asking a classmate to glance at a fellow classmates paper.
I agree with paying attention to the room in genral and this includes the students. Walking around some will help you to see all students. Not to so to hover over them but to just be present everywhere at alltimes while a test is going on.
