Cheating students
Objective tests tend to increase the chances of this happening. I try to use short answer and an example in my quizzes and tests

I've discovered the longer the test, the more time students have to cheat. All tests should be monitored fully, regardless the time of the test.

I always make the assignments with the greatest value assignments that require aplication in projects. I do give small quizzes, but they are quick and do not allow for extended periods of time for students to bring in cheat sheets, and I try to carefully monitor the quizzes and prepare them well for small chunks of information at a time.
I agree. This not only encourages them to do their own work; it also allows us to get a glimpse into their ability to apply the knowledge they've gained.
