cheating
cheating takes the respect and the trust from that clasroom and does not prepare you for the future in your responsibilities as a worker. We monitor and try to curve this area but offering space to spread students out and by giving Test A And B.

I explain to the cheating student that their potential employers may review their transcript and any indication of cheating would most likely result in them not being hired. If you cheat in class, it can be expected that you would cheat on the job.
The opportunity is the key, if you create an expectation of honesty, remind students to do their own work, and give them clear instructions you reduce the "opportunity" to cheat.
That's a great strategy that you use. I always tell my students that if they cheat now they are only cheating themselves later. I try my best to space my students out as far as possible and have them to clear there desks of any books or maerials.
Hi Julie,
I also have my students clear their desk of unneed materials, cell phones, ipods, water bottles, etc. Students have come up with clever ways to try to cheat.
