Stopping the Cheating

During the moduel, it was mentioned for an instructor to stay in one area of the room during an exam. I do not agree with this idea. Cheating happens when students know you are not paying attention. The best strategy is to make a round then stay in one area then make another round. Students see this as you paying attention while not disturbing them or making them feel nervous.

I completely agree that you need to move around the room during an exam so students don't even get the opportunity to cheat. I have my classroom set up in a U-shape so during an exam I stay in the middle of the U.

Yes, I do believe there may be several methods, however, I do like the idea to sit in the back of the room in stead of the front....just so the "cheaters" aren't timing their cheat.
