Cheating
When a student is caught cheating whether they admit to it or deny it should they be given a second chance?
Most facilities have policies for cheating and you should stick with the policy. If you stray from it then it tells the students that they can test you and try to get away with cheating.
Hi Richard,
Absolutely! Students have to realize that they are only cheating themselves when they cheat. Students must be reprimanded when they are caught cheating so that they learn a lesson.

aside from giving a 0 grade for cheating, I also remind the students that if they cheat on tests or projects they are only cheating themselfs, my goal as an Instuctor is to help them to get where ever they want to be in our industry, they are in school for themselfs not for me, so to cheat they cheat themselfs.
Zero tolerance for cheating!
Aside for disciplining the students I try to constantly remind my students that even though grades are important at school, the knowledge is what is going to be needed in the field. You can attempt to cheat your way through school but it wont work in the field and you will end up ending your career before it starts.
Hi Kim,
A student should be reprimanded according to the school's honesty code for cheating.
