INSTRUCTOR. YOU SHOULD GO BACK AND CLARIFY.
I have found by sharing experiences with my previous work history, students were able to relate more to real job. Also I would share with them mistakes that I had made, and told them this too will happen with them, and it is okay but we must learn from these and not to make the same one twice, because some mistakes made can be life threatening. But I share the good and bad side of my experiences and it captures the students and keeps them engaged.
