students must have respect for the instructor
many times students do not have respect for the instructor by not followqing rules And regulations of the class
I believe that there should be no exceptions to rules.
Hi Bradley,
That's right, respect is a two-way street. You give respect, and it will be returned.
Patricia
As the instructor I tell the students you show me respect and I'll do the same for you.
Hi John,
We as instructors must do our due diligence to enforce rules and to teach students that rules will be in the workplace, and that they may not nessecary agree with the rules, but they must abide by them or else.
Patricia
not following rules may be done by students for a variety of reasons. you may feel the student does not respect you, however, they may be violating the rules because, they are not clear, others do not follow them, they are haveing a bad day, want to get attention.
Hi Mary,
Absolutely! As the instructor, we must lead by example, and we certainly must abide by all rules just as the students are to do so.
Patricia
I expalin the rules and why they are in place. Relating the rules to their future career encourages students to follow them. Remember...as an instructor if you do not follow the rules the students will not. and there must be concequence for not following a rule.
Hi Beth,
Students must realize that rules are in place for a reason and must be abided by. In the real world employers are not going to put up with breaking rules.
