I like to always have an energizer prepared for a lesson. It always keeps students engaged. What are some activities you do with your classes?
Be always prepered for the class,keep students motivated,use positive reinforsments.
I feel students must stay motivated at all times.Instructors need to be motivated and this will carry over to their students.Be prepared for the class....I have found that over the years...games for example (medical terminology, cardiovascular, etc.)with little prizes or extra credit for the winners motivates the students.
I've also found that pins for them to wear on their scurbs, is something that students will work hard to earn....gold stars, medical terminology,medical caudecus pins and many others.

I like to do little simple things, not necessarily an activity, such as giving each student a smartie (candy) and tell them they are so smart to help motivate them, and they take it as a treat as well. This has proven to be an effective gesture.
