instructor confidence
as a new instructor it is hard at times to instill confidence in your students, to assure them that you have a knowledge base to help them with their needs... my question is how can i be better at conveying confidence????

You are absolutely correct! Preparation is key! I can tell you thoroughly prepare for your classes.

Simple: be prepared at the outset for each class meeting. Know your material and have your course properly constructed. When you exude confidence in your own preparation, it will automatically come off in your teaching.
If you aren't prepared or have weaknesses in your course because you haven't taken the time to outline things, you'll find yourself having to firefight the whole class.
