styles needs to be changed with situations. No body can stick to same style everyclass to get good outcomes.
Catering to every learning styles makes you more effective in the classroom.
Catie, great point. Take full advantage of those with wisdom and also take advantage of those that have fresh ideas and are high in energy. Age is not always the indicator of these traits but you will have both sets of traits in many classrooms today so as you identify your wise students and your energetic students, put them to work for you and the benefit of others in your class.

being versitile in the class room is a key to engaging as many students as possible.
Its important to adjust for every situation. I teach two very distinct groups of students. The first is new and requires far more explanation. The second group is nearing the end of their schooling with me and we can lean more toward discussions with a lot more input from the students. When I teach the groups combined I encourage the more senior students to interact with the new students as I believe true understanding often occurs when you teach your skills to others.
shah, well stated. There is value in a trial and error method. The key is learning from your mistakes, documenting your adjustments and measuring your success. Keep what works, remove what does not and always be ready to justify your methods as others can benefit from your efforts.
