Tegrity

I have integrated Tegrity video clips in one of my classes. Students tell me that they appreciate what they view as "closer" interaction through the clips. Chris

Kevin,

This might be one, but there are dozens of others as well. You are right, sometimes students just miss class to view the recorded session. That is why it is important to add discussions and other interactive components to supplement the recording "static" materials. It is useful when you are an asynchronous program, but you want to add some synchronous elements. You can do the live session and record it for the asych. students so they are not missing out.

Are you referring to:

"Fully automated lecture capture" ?

This looks useful, though recorded lectures lack interactivity. Are students more likely to miss classes knowing they can just watch the video of a missed lecture?

Chris share more with us on Tegrity as I am not familiar.
