Technology Tools can help make teaching and managing a course more efficient. But a teacher has to understand the tool before expecting the students in the course to use it. Take the time to be competent in the use of the tool(s) and don't be afraid to continue to learn about it.
It is important to individualize the tools used to each learning opportunity.
Communication is key. The instructor’s delivery can enhance or impede on learning if the appropriate style is not chosen.
Technology should be a value add to the learning environment, not a hinderance to the learning process.
I learned their are many ways and tools you can utilize to help students learn and communicate their questions and concerns.
Technology is key, but adaptabilty and understanding the student's needs is what truly shifts technology towards the specific desiered goal.
As a instructor our main goal is to provide a healthy and appropiate learning enviorment to our students. It is out job to facilitate the right tecnology integratiosn to make our learning enviorment a atractive one to our students and give them the oportunity to make integration with the course.
for best results, its impotant to understand wihch technology tool fits and help not only for the instructor to deliver content, but also for the student needs.
I THINK THAT IN DISTANCE EDUCATION WE MUST GET THE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE CONFIDENCE IN COMMUNICATING WITH THE INSTRUCTOR. GOOD COMMUNICATION AND TRUST CONTRIBUTE TO GOOD LEARNING.
I found the different teaching styles in combination with the different kinds of technological tools avialable interesting. There are definitely options that lend to teaching styles better, but the students need to be prioritized to ensure the technology and tools are appropriate for the content and help students learn.
I learned you must try to accomodate different styles of learning and create an engaging class for both ground and virtual students.
The right tools for the job make all the difference.
The appropriate selection of technological tools allows a better development of my virtual courses.
Use technology in a way that helps support the objectives and an engaging learning environment. No need to use all of the functions.
Utilizing different strategies and technologies to teach is important, but the teacher must first understand the function of the technology and how to use it. Students learn in different ways, and teaching in the online environment requires the teacher to incorporate different teaching strategies to meet the needs of the students in the class.
Using techinolgy tools to present content is important to create an atmoshere to engage students in the learning process. However, using a technological program that is cumbersome, difficult to use, or confusing to students inhibits the learning process and should be evaluated for it's effectiveness.
Using technology will hel to enhance the productivity, but it is necessary to use the right tools to match the individual teaching style.
Not all technologies are appropraite to all learners and we should obtain feedback to asses the proper technologies.
