Happiness
Happiness is when you feel content with most everything you do in your life. When you can help those around you achieve their goals and bring happiness to others though humor, when it seems that there is nothing to be happy about. Sometimes this can be hard to do. I just try to do the best I can everyday and then let it go.
Positive thinking makes such a big difference. I agree that sometimes you just do the footwork and then have to let go. Smiling when you do not feel like it, when you are feeling down and soon others will be smiling also. You gain a measure of happiness from being pleasant to others, and it makes me feel like I have done something!
I say good morning to everyone as well as good afternoon especially when entering a classroom for the first time for the day. It also feels great to laugh and smile. I try not to let my bad mood effect others -- also when I do this it helps my unhappy state of mind.
Your attitude and mood is one's own choice. Also how one reacts is one's choice. It comes down to personal accountability, changing and improving what one has control over. There are stressful situations in life and taking a minute to step back after an initial reaction and making a conscious decision to continue positively will make all the difference. If you choose to approach the day positively, chances are your will be happy and joyful during the day.
Working in the educational system, I like to lead by example. I try to mentor and motivate my students. One of my sayings to students is that Happiness is the key to a rewarding and positive life. I encourage to get an education, but I caution them to do it for the right reasons. Ie. focus on a career goal that you know you will enjoy and be happy doing.
Yes happiness is a state of mind. For example I was watching a comedy the other day with my friend who was acting like he was in another time zone. He was not laughing very much until I started to let go with some big belly laughs. All at once what was troubling him left and he joined in with the wonderful humor that the show was providing.
HAPPINESS IS A VERY GOOD POSITIVE WAY TO GO ON THROUGH THE DAY. I KNOW THERE ARE SOME MORNINGS THAT I JUST FEEL UGH . OR UGLY .SO I TAKE A FEW EXTRA MINUTES AND MEDITATE, AND FIND SOMETHING COLORFUL TO WEAR. BUT IN OVER ALL ONCE I SEE MY STUDENTS IN CLASS I AM SO GREATFULL AND EAGER TO TEACH.
It's contagious! I know when I walk in feeling down I choose Happiness and it seems as soon as I'm available to my students and I take my mind off of my own personal concerns and put it on theirs it all seems to turn around... and before you know it we're all laughing and happy! I heard someone say smile your brains thins you're happy :0)
Happiness is a state of mind. If a person perceives themself to be happy they probably are. When people compare themselves to others or to others thoughts is when the trouble begins.
Happiness is when everything you wished for come true and all the people you love are there to support and guide you along the way. It is a feeling of fulfillment in your career, family and spiritual life. It is my ultimate goal to be united with family, co-workers , friends and the whole community and stay happy:)
