The best Marketing tactic to inspire prospective students should be multi media and good role models combined.

Very true! Those few seconds of capturing your target market are invaluable. So much research goes into those key points that the consumer will remember later.

I think one of the reasons marketing needs to change so frequently is because anyone can be inspired by something at any given time and it varies from person to person. Seeing successful graduates and positive role models at an institution may inspire some. However, many times the exciting new program with applicable job opportunities may inspire someone else. Whether an institution even has graduates from that new program yet or not. I'm not sure anyone can say what is best.

Alumni provide a great source of advertising. We often have graduates come back and speak to current students to share their experience.

Knowledge, passion, and excitement is the best tactic, in my opinion. When you're knowledgeable of your product and can talk about it in an exciting way people are drawn to what you have to say.

I completley agree Orville. Being professional and prepared is just one small step to encouraging students to pursue their educational goals. I have been working in the higher education system since 2008 and I have seen things that have inspired me and things that have shaken me with disbelief. Another great tactic for inspiring students would be to maintain a positive and helpful attitude.

Exactly. If we expect them to be on time for their appointments and to bring all their required documents then we should be prepared to see them at the time we designated and be well-prepared with everything we need for the interview.
