Alfredo,

Very good advice, indeed! This is where the resource notebook proves its worth.

Wilson,

The catalog and enrollment agreement constitute the contract between the student and the school. The student signs the enrollment agreement stating they have read and received a copy of the catalog.

I have placed many Florida statutes, that I can refer to when a student or staff member has a question. It's always good to be able to quote the law vs making claims based off memory or personal opinion.

Lisa,
Gents work off campus as you stated. They are able to enroll students and conduct business transactions.

Patty Aronoff

Belen,

Absolutely! The term counselor projects an entirely different connotation and is misleading.

Jacquelyn,

Scholarships must be administered with specific guidelines and the statement "for those who qualify."

Patty Aronoff

Enrollment Agreement, Scholarships, Financial Aid, Title IV

Some of the terms commonly used, along with the norm of Admissions, Applications, Financial Aid, Funding and Enrollment, during our full admissions process would be:

Revisit and Review
Build
Assist
Guide
Question
Confirm
Goal(s)
You and Your
Interests
Committment
Objections
Investment
"Next step"
Graduate

I was not informed that admission reps could not be called counselors. It is important to know the rules and relgulations governing even small details.

Jennifer,

Excellent! The notebook is a reliable friend and should always be ready when you need it.

Patty Aronoff

Stanley,
It is really up to you as the primary user. I like to have materials with easy access. A big, bulky binder may not work for everyone.

Patty Aronoff

Melissa ,
That is excellent news! You are already on your path to a comprehensive resource guide.

Patty Aronoff

Diana,

It's a one stop shop for your reference materials. You always know where to go to get the information you need.

Patty Aronoff

Clarissa,
Orientation is an important event and attendance should be mandatory. Students who miss out on this event often have to catch up on the information that is provided.

Patty Aronoff

Mark,
All very important information! As admissions staff, we need to be able to explain these terms and how it affects the student.
