I am using the attachments that were provided in the Modules and also put in my Resource Notebook.

I am learning through the attachments that were given in this module and have also placed them in my Resource Notebook.

I thoroughly read the Florida Statutes and/or the Rules. Also I printed them out in case I will need to go back and need them for reference.

The module helped to understand what I should know and where to go to fined the the rules and statues. Also to answer questions that might arise

I printed all the rules and have read all of them. I have filed them in my Resource Notebook for easy reference.

Most, if not all of the rules and Statutes that regulate our institution, I got from the DOE website and/or by Email from our Coordinator.

Jennifer,
Continue to do so by seeking training, networking, checking out the regulatory websites and bring proactive.

By updating my knowledge on a regular basis.

Craig,
I love questions. Keeps everyone learning.

Craig,

The beauty of creating your own resource notebook is tailoring it to your specific needs. Kudos!

Theresa,

The more we immerse ourselves into the rules and their application, the deeper understanding we will have.

Patty Aronoff

Charles,

Try having your school documents with you as you progress through the rules. Sometimes this brings a stronger understanding.

Patty Aronoff

Kelly,

The Commission may make rule changes at any time during the year. Check the CIE website for notification of upcoming rule changes.

By reading and learning from my manager also by doing these tests. Also, asking lots of questions helps me to learn.

Neither having them available on line or in my notebook is sufficient for me, I have put them on index cards separately and put them in my rolodex

Through discussion, reading, and creating a resourse notebook.

Reading through all the Florida Statutes and rules and regulations, and trying to understand each as i read them. also seeing how they work with the school admissions agreement and school catalog.

Mostly, I utilize the Commission's website: http://www.fldoe.org/cie/pdf/chapter6E_rules.pdf. I keep a print-out of the rules in my binder and usually view the site for changes approximately once per month, and update my binder accordingly. Because we are required to submit samples of our Enrollment Agreement and Academic Catalog annually for license renewal, the Commission checks and double checks our 'work', so to speak, and lets us know if we have missed anything or need to make changes. Rarely is it an issue, as we pay very close attention to ensuring that the rules are followed as written.

Teresa,

Great! The best way to learn is to teach. Sharing this information with your staff is keeping everyone on the same page.

Robert,
Compliance is a daily task. When we get too complacent, that is when we take a misstep. Keep on learning and relearning.
