I think the best way to learn the various Florida Statutes and Rules and Regulations is to have everything printed out and in a handy notebook, but also through teamwork, and maybe even games with your team members that know the rules and regulations better than you.

I try to keep updated checking the rules every three months, but the option your supervisor suggested is great! I will do the same so I can keep up with all changes. Thanks.

It is vital to have an updated reference notebook, for that reason my co-workers and I always keep in touch about changes in Rules and Regulations; most of the times when a change has been done to Florida Regulation it will be the first talk when we drink our first coffee. However, I use to check twice a month on the Commision page to see if any other changes are posted.

German,

Highlighting is an opportunity we use when we need to go right to the source of information that we have looked up. It's a great way to target in on the information we need.

Erinn,

A great idea to have Outlook be our reminder! As long as we check the websites at least once a month we should be very proactive in updating the information we need.

Neisha,

It should be your best friend is far as books on your shelf in your office. Your resource notebook is created to assist you in any situation to provide you the information needed for compliance.

I agree.I always do , Print out Florida Statues and keep it available for our staff.

I have done the same thing, printed the rules book and highlighted important areas.

You just have to check the website every month for any updates. I plan to put a reminder in my outlook calender to check once a month.

This is exactly what I've done and find it t be very helpful in familiarizing information and rules and since its in my notebook I can refer to it as often as needed.

Natalia,

It's a quick way to get the information that you need on the web. Having the bookmarks quickly takes you to the websites and checking for new information and alerts.

Saving the website to your favorites is an excellent idea. The mpore you know about statutes and regulations the mores successful you will be as a whole. Knowledge is power!

I agree,! that always works best for me as well.

Vincent,

That should be a best practice for everyone! The resource notebook is your guide to compliance. We need to revisit it often and reaffirm our knowledge.

The best practices for me are to constantly review them and keep myself update on any changes that may happen. i also will contact my director to see if there have been any new changes.

Brian,

Excellent! You have the best of both avenues to secure the information. Having the website bookmarks gives you easy access and have provided you the most up-to-date version.

To create a folder of all the Florida Statutes, Rules, and Regulations in a pdf format. Another thing is to bookmark the site to reference from.

julie,

That's a good habit to have! If you check the website regularly you will be aware of any proposed changes and any final changes to the rules and regulations.

I have to check florida web monthly to see if any update

Adriana ,
Excellent! It's a good reminder to make sure that you keep your resources updated. Statutes are changed once a year during the legislative session. The rules can be changed at any time throughout the year.
