Check the website monthly to stay up to date. Along with keeping ourselves updated we have separate departments that are constantly reviewing out work to ensure that we stay within the rules and regulations.
Learning opportunities are always available to myself regarding the Florida Statutes and Rules and Regulations. When I was initially hired I was required to participate in several MaxKnowledge trainings to ensure my knowledge of the recruitment/admissions process. We also refer to CIE rules on a daily basis, so by having easy access to the website I am able to search for what I need. Also, meetings scheduled with the campus manager, admissions department and community development department are held on a weekly basis to ensure our communication is accurate and being shared with potential students effectively. Lastly, free tools on MaxKnowledge and other resources provided by our campus manager ensure we are staying on top of the necessary information we're required to know.
I've printed out rules and regulations and am keeping them in my resource notebook. I will also continue to follow up on any updates and speak with my supervisor regarding clarity.
One of the way that I'm able to learn the various Florida Statuets and Rules and Regulations is through my schools employee website. On my schools website it has great information that Im able to read when ever I need to. i feel this is a great way to keep us as admission reps up to date.

This is an excellent practice. Statutes are updated only once a year during the legislative session. Rules can be updated at anytime during the year.

The way I am learning the various Florida Statutes and Rules and Regulations is having an updated copy of them and checking it any time I need to find information about activities or my institution.
reviewing the information and when a question comes up refering back to the regulations to get familar with the rules.
A helpful tool that my supervisor suggested is a "change detection" service. They are basically sites that will send you an email anytime a specific website is changed. That way you have a little automatic help in case you forget to physically look.
