I have printed out the lessons and have placed them in a binder that way if I have any questions that I may need help with I can also refer back to it. My other co-workers benefit as well.

we were holding all paaperwork in a main file canbinet, but now after taking the course realize that a better wat to go is with the binders.

How are you organizing all the paperwork and information related to completing the admissions training?

I am putting together a binder with color coded tabs per module and section. I also created soft copies that are saved in a labeled folder to ensure I have access to this material at all times.

Sample documents are also very important and we should ensure that they are correct and up to date sample documents. Thanks for sharing this information.

The way in which I am choosing to organize the handouts from this training is to put each of the sections in a specific order and color codes them in a binder. It is important to ensure that the handouts or in place and are ready should I need to reflect on prior learning from the handouts. Having assessable material is key to my learning.

I will follow the procedure established by my institution and ensure that I get input from my supervisor if I have any questions. I can also refer to my resource notebook that was compiled to keep me on track as well as being used as a reference guide.

Extremely helpful. Easier to find information to answer questions. The websites are great too, but always good to have hardcopies as back up.

We create a binder with any admissions training information and questions and answers through out our employment.

If anything is changed in the way the organization is keeping track of admissions training then the organization should have constant meetings to make sure everyone is on the same page.

If you have a good working relationship with your coworkers it's always a great idea to periodically review what that have in their binders.

A large 3 ring binder, divided into various sections has always worked best for me.

I have a 3 inch, 3 ring binder that I am keeping everything. It's divided into sections by subject or statute. I have also inclused some job aides that my employer has provided for a quick reference in case I need it. Everything is also color coded as well. I'm very visual, so I know that eventually I will begin to associate the color with the subject I'm seraching and will be able to find quickly.

I have a notebook that I am putting together with dividers according to subject matter. I'm typically very detail orientated so this is great for me.

I have the same process, everything electronically and paper copies for back up if the computers are down. Everything is always available to me at a moments notice. I also purge and replace outdated documents as soon as new one are released.

I am adding material to my admissions notebook by date so I know what training is current and up to date.

Karen,

Excellent! The beauty of the resource notebook is that you will be building it according to your own specifications.

Erica,

Your resource notebook will be your best friend for years to come. Pay attention to it and keep it current.

Naji,
Excellent plan! Make sure that all your information is current with any changes in the rules or other material that you have in your notebook.

I have an organized binder with specific tabs that gives me specific information on each aspect of te admissions process. this also makes i asier for me to locate much faster and efficiently.

I left during the Resource Notebook description and purchased a 1 1/2" binder and 150 sheet protectors. I hope its enough lol. I am printing and reading through the entire course before I take the quiz per section. After papers are filed, I've completed each section, then I take the quiz. I read through on the computer and then review as I file... and hey... I got a %100 last section first try, AND I will have my completed Resource Notebook,(that I will continue to use and add to for years to come)upon completion of this program.
