What types of marketing have you used, and which worked best?
We do a combination of print, tv and radio. All work well, and the biggest results have come when the coincide with one another.
Lidia,
Those personally developed leads are so valuable. And...free.
Patty Aronoff
We have used adds on newspaper, flyers, and our web page. However I can say that an 80% of our prospective students come from our graduates referrals.
Sean,
Very valuable information to the school. We should constantly be gathering information on how we are doing.
Patty Aronoff
I agree. I believe a survey and referral count is a great indicator of how well your customers value your program.
Ricardo,
Word of mouth can certainly work both ways. I can say for myself that the reflections of a former student can make or break their decision to attend.
Patty Aronoff
At my institution, we have used word of mouth. Which is one of the most successful types of marketing because it spreads quickly. You just have to be careful that it is positive not negative information that is spreading about your institution. We also use print ads and put all necessary information on the website so it will attract new students.
Tu,
Advertisement comes in many forms and it takes work to determine what is the best for your school. Make sure that CIE reviews all advertisements.

We using new paper and community flyers, yellow pages too, all work well.
Tricia,
It only takes a few seconds to capture their interest. Branding works!
thank you. Somethings we use for just branding. TV has proved to be the most effective. Sometimes the commercial is still playing in thebackground
Shan,
ahhhh the power of Google.
Tricia,
You have a well-rounded marketing campaign.
Joane,
Thank you for your post! Radio has a captured audience.
Alexander,
Make sure to monitor the FB page. It is amazing what some people put on facebook.
Bernarda,
Students sharing their personal experience is the best! They bring personally developed leads which are free.
I have used TV,radio, local news paper and more.
But the best testimonals come from former students, It works the best.
I agree. The principal instructor and a student created a Facebook page for our school, and I noticed big jump in applicants for my program start.
Also, the FB page is great for alumni, current students, incoming students, and potentials to communicate.
I have used magazines, local papers, signs. The most effective has been the website and optimization on Google.
we have used all types, print(magazines, menus and newspapers) radio, tv, word of mouoth and social media. Currently, Radio and print together have proved to be most beneficial.
