Job
I want to make sure that I am not promising a job or anything that we do not offer.
Shara ,
Never a guarantee! But by providing solid placement service is the best customer service you can give. You want your graduates to be employed.
Patty Aronoff
There are no guarentees on job placement. We need to let them know we offer job assistance.
Phillip,
Interesting! Therefore, you probably are constantly preparing the students for this very important exercise.
Patty Aronoff
In our field in order to get hired applicants must pass auditions aside from interviews. We fully train our students by conducting various auditions until we feel they they are ready.
Michelle,
No, no guarantee! But we can prepare the students in the best manner possible to be successful in their job search.
Patty Aronoff
"Do you guarantee job placement?" We get that question a lot. I always let them know that we cannot guarantee a job to anyone. We offer job placement assistance. We help our students as much as we can from mock interviews to assisting them in putting together a resume'. We have job postings to assist them in searching for full and part-time jobs, internships, student assistant openings, volunteering, and more.
Rachael,
We cannot want it more than they do. I have seen students give up to easily, but when they know they have a support system and the will to succeed, anything is possible.

A student is responsible for their own future success with a job search but we can definitely offer assistance and this assistance does not start when they are almost done with their program. It starts on the tour. Stress the importance of attendance, grades, speed if applicable (I work in a Cosmetology school)building clientele if applicable, making a portfolio of their work (we are all artists in the end). Tell them potential employers can ask for their transcripts. If they see someone with a 75% attendance for example that means they missed 1 out of 4 days on average and ask them if they were an employer how likely would they be to hire someone who missed 1 out of 4 days or someone with average grades, etc. No matter how great of a personality a student has and no matter how talented they are reliability and accuracy counts just as much or more. A students transcript is a black and white billboard of their performance in a practice job run. Tell your students not to think about it like going to school but rather a practice run for their future job when they get it. If they can't excel at a practice run how likely would they be to excel in the real job? Get them thinking about how important they are to their own success. We live in the "do it for me" generation but it boils down to 1 person being responsible for their future success and that is them. We can guide them. We can assist them. However, in the long run it will be you in the employers chair being interviewed about your knowledge, attendance, grades, and past successes in school. I tell our students I want to help you as much as I can (not guaranteeing a job) but I need you to help me help you. Challenge them from the gate.
Lisa,
No guarantees for jobs either. We can provide job listings, interview appointments, resume building, but...in the end, it is up to the student to get that job!
Patty Aronoff
We can inform students that we assist with their job search yet they are responsible for their hiring. Interview skills, networking, education, etc all help with finding a job yet none work alone.
Van,
We should be assisting the students in obtaining employment. Placement services are a requirement of rule and it is in the best interest of the school to do so as placement figures are an indicator of how well the school is performing.
Patty Aronoff
We are trying the best to help student to get the job after training.
Thelma,
The better we prepare our students for the interview process, the better they increase their chances. A person can look great on paper, but if they are not prepared for interview, they can quickly be taken out of consideration.
Patty Aronoff
It is very important that the prospective student understands that no gaurantee of employment is made. I go into detail when I describle how we assist them with their job search. Most of our assistance comes before the interview. We discuss what to wear to the interview, how to be prepared to answer questions quickly and how to make a great first impression. I then let them know it is up to each person to secure their own position based upon their interview.
Joseph,
No...no guarantees. There are no guarantees in placement but we do provide placement assistance.
Patty Aronoff
I had a student ask me to guarentee placement and completion of a program...Never guarentee
Odismary,
No promises. No guarantees. We assist.
