I feel very comforatable as well, however I'm always asking questions and keeping up to date with any changes. Sometimes being too comfortable can lead to being complacent. I want to make sure I'm always on my toes.

Rhett,

It is always good to hear that a school is providing regular training opportunities for their staff.

Debra,

Participating in students' mid-program assements is a great way to learn more about individual courses and programs.

I would rate myself very good. I am very knowledgeable about the universities rules and regulations. Most other employees come to me for answers to question they have.

After being at my college for over 2 years I feel that my knowledge of OVCT is fairly well rounded but.....I also feel that there is always more to learn and the better equipped I am with knowlege about our school the better equipped I will be to inform potential students of all the services that we offer to them.

On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the most knowledgable, I would give myself a 10. I am very familiar with University policies, information pertaining to all programs offered, and the individual roles and responsibilities pertaining to the administrative staff and faculty.

I have a very strong knowledge of our program. We take part in training every week so that we can stay on top of any changes or updates.

I rate my knowledge of my institution as high. Constantly fielding questions from prospective students keeps me knowledgable. In addition, there are open lines of communication between all departments so having questions quickly and accurately addressed is easy with my institution.

I would rate my knowledge as "growing". We have degree experts on all of the degree programs that we offer and every week we sit in a lunch meeting and learn about a specific program. Since there are so many programs and I haven't been here long enough to attend even half of the presentations I'd say I'm moving in the right direction but the level of knowledge I want to attain can only be so with time.

By keeping up with changes in the college, I feel my knowledge is high. I sit in on classes to know more about the class, and i sit on various advisory boards. Our students are involved in mid-program accessments which i sit in on to better understand what is being taught in the classes.

I have been here nearly seven years and feel I am very knowledeble about the school. Always willing to learn more and keep myself current with all information in making me a successful Admissions Rep.

Laura,

Great! Keeping yourself informed will definitely assist you in being a successful agent.

Jill,

Communication between departments is so important. It sounds like your school has a great system in place.

Jean,

I am glad to hear that your school has made communication a high priority.

I rate the knowledge about my institution as high. The admissions department is very involved with other departments. The academic department heads keep us informed regarding cirriculum academic progress and certifications. The career director advises us on our students's placement. Staff and faculty use the library frequently to then offer assistance when needed for students. We participate in regular training throughout the year and are compliant on documents, discussions and the catalog.

I rate my knowledge as excellent. I keep up with all changes and updates and make sure the information is always accessible.

I would rate mine high. We always have weekly discussions, emails being sent, so that we are always up to date with any new information.

I agree! The staff here have already proven themselves to be a huge workplace support system!

Andrea,

Working with such a knowledgeable and helpful staff will be a huge benefit for you.

Fortunately for the Admissions Advisors here at the school I'm employed with, we have the opportunity to work with a very knowledgeable staff. We participate in meetings with our Director of Admissions as well as the Department Chairs for each one of the programs that are offered. In addition, we have regular meetings with our corporate office for "Reminder Trainings" and trainings on new material or changes occuring presently or in the future. We participate in meetings with our campus president and I can't think of anyone at our campus that doesn't have an open door policy or who isn't willing to pass on information when asked. I feel my level of knowledge at this instituion is high as any time I may have a question, I feel free to ask it and there hasn't been an instance yet when I feel "in the dark" about what changes are occuring at a corporate level or individual location level.
