Your Own Knowledge

How do you rate your knowledge about your institution?

Agreed.

As a person new to the industry I am finding this training program very helping in giving me overall knowledge of the industry, as well as giving me information, as to how to do my job properly and ethically.

I rate my knowledge high- I ask a lot of questions all the time. Questions students might ask, so I can answer appropiately

Well this is my 3rd week, so I have soooo much to learn, but right at this moment I believe its a 6 (out of 10)..In the meantime I will know just about everything there is to know here shortly, reading brings knowledge!

I'm definitely still learning about my institution but I'm learning something new everyday. I know I pick up more information each day. The learning modules and training have been really helpful.

I rate mine very high. I attend multiple weekly meetings, various conference calls that involve policy updates, changes and how the school is doing as a whole. I also refer to my catalog daily for a number of reasons. I have also been elected as the Lead Registrar/Trainer for the campuses in my district.

I feel for only having two weeks worth of information about my school, that I am very knowledgeable. I have a strong foundation underneath me now to move forward, and build on this knowledge.

I would rate my knowledge about my institution as "High". How I accomplish this is through continual training. Quarterly I have a "new hire" training for my staff that I have everyone accomplish to include myself. This includes sitting in a class, meeting with a group of current student, meeting faculty as well with with department heads, and as well having employers speak to the group about what they are looking for. At times my verteran staff feels annoyed by it, but at the same time I try and remind them that the one thing that does not change is change.

I have weekly meetings with all other department directors, as well as regular program knowledge training. Due to the importance of up to date information, regular communication is extremely important. I keep up to date on industry knowledge for each of our programs and make sure our staff has weekly training on who to contact for what purpose in our organization to be able to provide students with correct information.

Cassie,

I love that you are talking with students in the program to make sure you are sharing accurate information with prospective students.

Kimberly Stein

Since I'm only in week 3 of training, I am quite happy with what I have learned. it doesn't end when training ends, but is on going. I am learning more each day.

Each day I am learning something new about our college. I try to talk to each department here everyday so I can keep in continual contact with those departments that way if there ever is an issue I am comfortable discussing it with that department. Also I am continuously reading up on what our programs here have to offer and talking with the students to make sure my knowledge I shared with them is accurate.

I've acquired a wealth of information since working here but learn something new every day. The institution changes and new situations arise daily. My goal is to continue to learn more about the school, programs and policies.

75-80% I just need to learn the new building and new programs of this college. After being involved with a similar career college it is nice to feel comforatble about select programs and career services, financial services and other student resources that will be available to the student.

Even though I am merely in a training class with the help of the trainers I would rate my knowledge about my institution very high.

Product knowledge and shared best practices is important in admissions recruitment

I would say that while my knowledge of my school is very indepth, I am always learning new things about our programs and how we teach our students. Technology keeps changing, thus integrating this into the classroom is so important. I find that once a quarter, sitting in a classroom helps me gain even more useful knowledge to my interactions with new students.

I would rate my knowledge to be very high about my institution. They really make sure that every staff member is well equipped with the knowledge that they need in order to do a superior job and provide the best service to our students.

Very high, however, things change, programs change, markets change, there are compliance changes, etc....so it is imperative to stay current and to be a well studied individual.
