Their are many ways of contacting people who are interested in college...

2)e-mails
3)texting
4)post cards
I have been in this business for along time. The changes from phone calls to e-mails and now texting is great! I get a great response from texting. Sometimes the prospect has a hard time telling you certain things on the phone. By texting it makes it a little easier for them to get back to you, and also tell you there thoughts.
IN addition, how much success have you had with texting?
Our school has developed a method of going into middle schools and high schools to do a presentation about our school's scholarship program.We offer a distance learning art training course.
After a powerpoint presentation we request that students fill out a registration form indicating whether or not they would be interested in this training, and we provide a drawing test for them to complete to qualify for our scholarships.
We then follow up and contact interested candidates and their parents by phone,text and/or e-mail to qualify them for an interview.Texting is very effective because many teenagers have not set up a voice mail and sometimes won't answer the call if they don't know who you are.An informative text allows us to reintroduce ourselves and paves the way for a contact.If the candidate is interested,he will call us back!
Out of the four ways you listed on contacting potential students, which do you find to be more effective? Phone calls or e-mails?
I would like to use everything on your list plus emails and faxes to non-profit organizations and agencies to reach those out of work.
