Advertising Your School
There are various laws and regulations regarding advertising higher education. Some of the requirements included not over selling the income potential of a certain degree as well as saying everyone could be admitted.
We as Admissions Reps always need to be upfront and honest with all our potential students. Never sugar coat anything. The advertising standards take care of itself.
I agree, I typically take my students to Onetonline.org, they are able to view all task and requirements for that specific program/job title and see how much they can be making.
Many representatives of colleges are not allowed to say you would be making x, or, you could make in the ball park of y; however, you can say check out the bureau of labor statistics BLS.GOV and on average you can see that you make z. Not oversold... accurate government resource.
