Student Enroll

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A STUDENT ENROLL AFTER CLASSES BEGIN?

Definitely.. I have students that are slow to start work with the new student to catch the new student up with the rest of the class. This kills two birds with one stone. It allows the student that is slow to start the opportunity to see the material again and it gives them a sense of urgency to catch up for themselves.

If a student has started after the class has begun, it alows me to use the other students as a peer to peer information group. The benifits are that the new student gets pertinent information, it also allows my other student to start learning to mentor/ lead. It also alows me time to round the late starter into the class without takeing me out of the class.

I agree, I encourage students to enroll as soon as possible in orderbto start the rest of their life on course for success.

Teresa,

Often this is true. Most institutions have a 'drop and add' period in which new students can still begin classes.
