<p>I agree that retention is everyone's business.&nbsp; What ways do you alter the way you teach or handle your classroom to promote retention when the student needs to address personal problems?&nbsp; I have explained to them that childcare, financial and transportation problems will still occur when they have a job in&nbsp; their chosen career and that they need to develop Plan B and Plan C, especially in the medical field because their absences and excuses will not be tolerated.&nbsp;</p>
