Test

Testing sending message to individual user MIchelle Stelter AND a group "Career Services Performance Group"

Working these Max Knowledge Tutorials into existing lesson plans

I'll be folding some of these insights into my lessons while remembering to step back and better ensure that the messages are being received and understood

via reflective listening (asking students to paraphrase their understanding of the lesson).

Writing for Results

Proofreading is a powerful tool when drafting messages. Take the time to read the message from start to finish to make sure it conveys a clear, concise message before releasing.

my thoughts

Students must be able to receive constructive criticism. The critic I give to them will alway higlight their good thing the did, than where the can improve on.

Hands out of pockets

I am good about moving around the clasroom and not just standing behind a lecturn. My biggest drawback is focusing so hard on the material that Im not thinking about what Im doing with my hand when when I speak. Sometimes I lead lecture and other times I jst pipe in. I fid it helpful to think about what I will be taalking about before Im in front of the class. This helps keep my hands out of my pockets.

Writing ML116

One of the things learned was how people see and feel about company communications.  One of the 7 deadly sins of writing is "Credibility Killers." Sending communications (anything published, written, email, memo, etc.) with misspellings, improper grammer, punctuation errors, and inconsistent formating just speaks volumes to your readers.  Have someone proofread your written work before sending out to where the public may critic your company.

empathetic listening

having an open mind is very impotant so that we efficiently be there for our team or overall understanding of any issue.

communcating skills

never be afriad to ask questions that we arent clear about .

Empathy

For me, empathy is the most important skill to be able to lead and manage a team

Communication Strategy

I must use the appropriate communication tool so that my students can be able to understand the main points in lecture. I must use an outline and focus on the main areas corresponding to the lecture.

Feedback

Students must be able to receive constructive criticism. When I provide constructive criticism to a student I make sure to make it face to face and facilitate new ways or other ways as to how one's work can be accomplish.

Powerful Presentation

If I want to capture the audience for which I have prepared a PPT presentation I must also rehearse prior to the actual presentation. I also must be knowledgable about my subject and interac with the audience.

Active listening

Always listen to the other person's concerns before one draws a conclusion.

Communication

Everyone learns differently some visually some hands on - so how we communicate with students will need to evaluated to make sure whe support the need of all students.

Learning

Another good course and I plan to implement some of the items learned.
