Team work

It's not the effort everyone puts in but the effect it makes when we work as a TEAM! Communication between students, staff and faculty is the key word!!!

Team work

Making sure that everyone in the work place knows rules, regulations and policies of the institution. Making sure when changes are made that everyone is aware of them. Team work is not the effort that everyone does but the effect it makes when we work together!!! :o)

Action Plan

This course provides great information. I have learned the importance of the Resource Notebook and to stay up-to-date in all areas of the institution, including program offerings, job placement rates for each program and other relevant industry information. I will continue reading the course catalog and keeping the communication with personnel to know more information about the different departments.

Second Careerers

Dealing with many older individuals I find that it is ti our best interest to help them from beginning to end. They are already frightened and scared about the unknown so a little encouragement, your help and guidance goes a long way

Be helpful

Honesty and the ability to help a student get through the paperwork is stressful so having you to to guide them is important .

Paying attention

Going through the course I was able to pick up on key terms and jargon used in our industry.

Admissions Training is Ongoing

Laws change, and Admissions Representatives must keep updated with all the updates to be able to answer the questions of prospective students. This is a noble career in which truly help people in changing their lives, help them succeed and get a better quality of life that also help their families. Giving them the right information is crucial!

Admissions is Admissions

The times may change, the people infornt of us most certainly change. But compliance is compliance no matter what. Follow the rules, and you'll be fine.

very good

It was a good experience for me

Admission Compliance

I thoroughly enjoyed th training.  This was not my first time taking this course.  Good refresher to ensure you are complying. My Resource Noteb Book is very useful.  If, you have not sat one up, take the time to do so.

Exellent course

I have learned a lot of techniques, methods and strategies. all these will help me on how to manage my admission department.

Knowing what to say and When to Refer to Financial Aid Office

Many of times prospective students want to see Financial Aid First to see if they even can qualify for aid before seeking out application or enrollment first. It is important to know that Admissions is NOT Financial Aid, a basic understanding is ok, but always refer the prospective student to the Financial Aid Office as everyones situtation is different and unique. You dont want to be in a situation where you mislead the prospective student. Title IV Rules for Financial Aid are every changing and evolving, so it is always best to refer.

Admissions Compliance

There will be times when a prospective student has a lot of questions and/or their parents. It is necessary that the rep knows their institutitions mission, rules, policies, outcomes and enrollment requirements to help the student and/or family make the best decision on what school is the right fit.

Newbie

Since I am new to the Admissions world, it was helpful to learn specific guidelines as well as common/core practices. I found the course to be very informative and helpful during this training time where I am transiting into an Admissions Representative position.

Very helpful!

Keeping up to date

My action plan is to determine a schedule to review all company, State of Fla and compliance regulations.
