Resources for Education

I am pleased to be a part of the Itt-tech team. As an admissions representative, I am learning the many aspects of continuing your education. What experiences have you gained from your job that you did not gain in school?

Be the best

Strive to be the best at whatever you do. Rather you are a gardner or a pilot, you have a goal set to accomplish and people are depending on you. Performing your job to the best of your ability can help ensure your success!!

Nonprofit Educational Institutuion

When you are a non profit it does not mean that the student do no have to pay a tuition and they receive minimal attention and less education, actually your priorites become the student. As a non for profit instituion  can expalin to the student what is the difference between a non for profit and a for profit without negatively speaking of other schools?

My School versus Your School

Compliance says that you are not to talk about other schools, negatively or otherwise. But how does that play out in real life? A prospective student came in this morning and was looking at one of our programs. He started talking about the fact that he is looking at other schools for the same type of program. I told him, "That's fine, I encourage you to check out all your options. You need to be able to make the right decision for your specific situation." I then continued with my presentation and answering their questions. He had his father with… >>>

Students

We are the portal to help our students.  Most have no idea what they want. It is up to us to lead them in their way.

Bieng the "right port of entry" of your institution.

As Admissions representatives we are "the port of entry" of our institutions or at least one of them. It is crucial to have the knowledge in compliance and rules, the patience, the truthful and accurate information to provide the best service in our ability. It is our responsibility to be informed and help the student feel confident and comfortable at our institutions because he is well informed before starting a program.

Important of Building Relationships

In the position of an Admissions Representative, it is extremely important to build relationships with prospective students. This builds trust between you and the student, so they can be confident in the help that you're giving them and the path that you're helping them down.

Equal

I think we should treat everyone equal when they come into our offices to better them and to better our schools.

Compliance

I think it is always important to think before you speak.  We must remain compliant as we are interacting with our potential students.  They are making a very big decision and trust us with the information we are giving them.  We have to be spot on at all times!

CM 305 Recruitment

My personal opinion is to treat each recruit like it's your own child or family member.  You want to be 100% truth, if you don't know the answer find it out and get back to them in a timely manner or walk them down to the department that will be able to help them.  This type of attitude is going to help with retention at the college, just imagine if every employee at the school acted in this way! How do you think this would make the student feel?

Small school perks

I think a great benefit of being with a small school is building relationships with students and them feeling comfortable to come speak with us at anytime about what they need. I think this also helps with retention as we can identify quickly those students that are stuggling and help come to a solution to hopefully help them succeed in the program.

Graduation ceremonies

Although are school has graduates every week, sometimes it is difficult to keep up with them, if they have moved, if they decided to change the field they got trained in.  I do like the idea of have an alumni celebration, and I am excited to get my team involved and to hear their thoughts and ideas

Maximizing performance

I defintely believe this course maximixes a school's performance for everyone involved. Your potential students and  your success of your school comes back to intregrity, honesty, and confidence. You are succesfuly when everyone around you is successful. It creates word of mouth and that is the best kind of marketing there is.

CM104: Compliant Interactions - Acting with Integrity

I think this course was overall a helpful reminder as to why it is so important for schools to foster a culture of transparency. This is especially useful in this day and age of diploma mills and when it is imperative to build a solid competitive advantage. The rabbit may experience short term success, but it is the tortoise who ultimately wins the race and in our race...the goal should be to serve students well and provide them the best possible advantage to be successful in their community.

Wonderful Class

This was a very informative course.

Great Class

The training was very necessary and I enjoyed it a lot. Please let me know if you enjoyed the class as much as I did.

The training was very informative because it taught me the importance of meeting my compliance goals. I will be able to identify opportunities for improvements and follow the rules and regulations to be in compliance at all times.

Everyone with a business should should take a compliance class so they can stay focus.

CM202 - Very Helpful

As a new Admissions Rep, I found this course very helpful.  The format and outline were great and helped me to organize my thoughts and Resource Notebook.

We are dealing with the future careers and lives of potential students. We owe it to them to know all we can about the industry, our campus and programs, and help them to make the best possible decision for themselves!
