stubborn students

I am really so excited with forum contents, it has added new ideas for teachers. We basically try to do our best in class rooms., still once a while you do come cross stubborn students. No matter what technique you apply  they go out of control and engage couple of more and cut your flow of teaching.

I have had my share of "Stubborn Students" in my class.  There have been times when a student will feel that what they have to say is much more important that what I am presenting to the class.  When this happens, I try to defuse the situation quickly, rather than allow the disruption to continue.  If this is unsuccessful, I have the student leave the class room.  Often I have found that when a student behaves as such, the issues involved have little to do with the class, but often are personal problems the the student is unable to deal with constructively.  At this point, I request that a member of the administration help the student.
