Learning the various voice/talking issues that may only become apparent by video taping/recording yourself during a lecture. I cringe at the thought but it is the only way to get more objective feedback I belive.

 

Being more comfortable with making mistakes and managing the reaction well.

I think managing the challenges of the shy and angry student is truly meaningful and helpful. Setting boundaries and fostering small group discussion.

 

I like the concept of summarizing and random calling  to present their summary to get students to be more attentive and prepare.

 

I think what I have taken from this section includes something applicable which is fostering a method to take what student's share and helping them through it in a way that makes them and others feel more comfortable to share. I think  a challenge is how to get those who do not share more engaged without feeling singled out?
