The layout is extremely important and you have to adapt and not try to just teach the same way if you were F2F

 

IT is difficult with communicating in a virtual environment

 

benefits of synchronous vs asynchronus, I think synchronus engages more for being able to ask/clarify questions

I think adding more specific criteria for peer responses on discussion posts would improve value of discussion.

 

The tracking an instructor has to do monitoring scaffolding for students

 

Learned how important module consistency is for the students and plan to make more efforts towards this.

 

It was interesting to see highlighted how adult learners fall outside of IEP protection but still covered under ADA and how as an instructor we can help them to self-advocate and work together to figure out appropriate supports to help them be successful.

 

Never really heard of ELL as a term before but this information is vital and providing more small assignments can be helpful to assess comprehension. I hope to learn more about instructional supports.

I like the concepts of consistent group usage and random groups. I have always hated groups when it comes to assignments or tasks, but like groups for sharing purposes. I feel as though group dynamics continue to present themselves regardless and often students don't feel completely comfortable with honestly rating peers who are not contributing what they should.
