I've learned that you need to have good rapport with your students by sharing a short biography of yourself. Just as important is to review each student and get to know each of them so that they feel comfortable in asking questions that may come up. When it comes to communication I prefer synchronous when we are in a Webex meeting I can hear tone as well as see their body language to help me get my message across more clearly opposed to sending a email for them to read.

In order for me to be a successful on-line instructor I must set guideline, expe and structure for my students using our current CMS system. I feel that I need to make sure that I give multiple options for my students to reach me with questions or concerns. I did set-up each class with the remind App to communicate with them. Besides email, and updates through the CMS the remind app is a quick way to let a class or all of your classes know of important updates, due dates, etc.
