I found the example of teaching when you do not have all the required supplies for an assignment. The game helps for students to at least learn what is requirements even it is not able to demostrate the supplies.  

Student journal will serve as a good reference for future job applications. Journal should be detailed with specifics as to procedures the student learned, software (with version number) the student developed experience with and other specifics for future employment. 

Student, employer and faculty shouw establish the student learning outcomes prior to the student starting their intership. 

It's important to establish a good rubric fo rthe employees at eh intership site to evaluate the student. Work with the site supervisors to ensure the student is working towards meeting the program goals and not just being jused for grunt work. 

Internships give the student to demonstrate to an employer his/her skills for employment unlike other applicants. It gets the students foot in the door. 

I like that the module emphasizes that 

"Students must retain information from your class in order to benefit from the learning." Retention is more important to me than grades. Assignments must be created that reinforce retention. 

I learned the word "Learnativity". It's a reminder to me that both the instructor and student have to take an active role so as to move the learner from novice to expert.s

Again, I agree with these wonderful strategies which I have been using for many years. I do want to stresss the point about starting the class with some light hearted discussion to get the students warned up to the discussion. In my online class, I log on early. I play a little jazz, as waiting music until the class time starts and students log in. Students look forward to it, and remind me of playing the specific song I use because it helps them settle in. I've experienced the strategies mentioned in this module over my teaching career and i agree with everything said. I can't say I learned anything new but I can say I learned different ways to present what I already agree with in this module. 

Protection of a victim against retaliation needs to be explored.
