Classroom Dress

Is it O.K. for a college instructor who works at a college where the students are in a low economic level for the instructor to dress down to match the students dress?

Honesty is the best Policy

Ethics should be a part of your entire life...not just work. And why is it necessary to "teach" ethics to college instructors and other key personal at the college level. Shouldn't ethicial behavior be a part of you life and business BEFORE you get a position dealing with students??

Informative/Need-to-know

Hello Jamie,

I too feel your pain...I don't see the relevence to my job as an automotive instructor and how it will make me a better instructor. Also this was sold as a condition of employment, we had several people at our school who have been here for years and had not completed the course?? I enjoy completing courses that will help me with being a better instructor or give me information I can use...none of that was done with this course. Four hours of my life I'll never get back.

Not what I do.

Hello Jeffery,

I am pleased to hear that there is someone else besides myself that has made a comment about the relevence of this course. While some of the information was interesting, this course has no relevence to my job as an automotive instructor. I mentioned to the director of the school about FERPA questions from the students and he said that I should refer them to the Finance group, which I have always done and will continue to do, so whats the point of the course?? It will in no way help me do my job.
