The use of a dynamic syllabus, good communicaiton, and the 8 tasks of scaffolding are all VERY important pieces to a good and solid online course.

I have learned how important it is to organize the modules in the same way and to use the same systems throughour the modules. Making everything flow for students is helpful for learning.

This module really gave some great information on record management, couseling management, conflict management, and attrtition management. I plan to have a thought out plan in place for all of these topics. It's important that as online instructor I am one step ahead of my learners!

In this module I learned that projecting your authority is important but so is establisihing a relationship. I like to idea of using video and audio clips that include a photo of myself.

Reply to Mardell Newhouse's post:I love your idea of a checklist, I may have to steal that idea!

I thought the list of topics you need to ask your employer as an online instructor were very helpful, like the turnaround times for student inquiries, deadline for submitting final grades, and policies governing plagiarism.

Reply to Gina Barton's post:I agree with you, that was something that stuck out for me also!
