I guess what I mean is, looking at the other forum's at the other instructors and teacher's at how there doing things and looking at our system, its hard to answer some of the forum's questions because in gemneral our system seems to be totally different then everyone's. That is making it hard for me. I do have a 5 day syllabus set up and there is online help for the students if they need it, but they depend more on there circle's they set up.

Online classes

As a Instructor in a Technical school I think the Online programs that we have set in place at other campuses is going to be the thing of the future. Looking at other discussions its hard to answer some of the question our give ideas, when the program we roled out is totally different then what I have seen in the forum discussion's. I beleive that the student should be able to gain access to the materials that he or she is studying, that there is a group that they can turn to for help when in need, as far… >>>

Qualifacations of the Instructor

I do think this is very important at the beginning of the class, (depending on the school)in our Technical school at the beginning of every class each Instructor gives a 2-3 minute presentation of there experience in the feild and in the subject their teaching. This gives the students a good sense of feeling that there instructor has the back ground for teaching this subject, this also lets the student know that the school is hiring instructors that can teach them about the feilds they our going into.

Having fun in class

The idea of having fun, being creative and spontaneous in the class room becomes a very good learning active for the students, besides breaking the "Boring Lecture" you have shown the students that there is another side to their instructor which allows the students to gain a little more respect for the instructor, this process allows both the instructor and the students to create a atmosphere that is open & positive in the classroom/lab.

Performance Testing

As a Instructor in a Technical School I believe Performance (hands-on) testing is a very important part of the testing procedures, this gives the students a balanced out course, they have so many written test, the opportunity to perform a hands-on test gives them the extra knowledge they know the course material.
