As well prepared as we can be with a syllabus, we cannot prepare it as well as we would like because of a number of reasons. 1-We cannot access them until the last minute. 2-We are no longer able to edit them.

At the end of the day, unethical behavior doesn't help anyone. As in the mortgage industry, helping someone fill out false or "fudged" information is just going to harm them in the long-run. Whether the "numbers" look good now or not, that is not "Changing Futures, Changing Lives."

As a former student with loans to repay, I think having the loan counseling is very beneficial. If you are planning on going to school you should plan on paying for at least part of it. The financial aid department at this institution is exceptional.

Honestly if you are telling a prospective student the truth about a program, its requirements, as well as placement potential, they should be able to make an educated decision about which path to choose. Hopefully the student has done some at-home research and has a good idea of where they want to go to begin with.

Students should be able to comfortably and confidently speak with any member of the faculty regarding their personal issues if they will be affecting there academic performance. I personally have had students in dangerous situations at home that were affecting their performance in class. Fortunately, they were able to speak with myself or other members of the staff and come up with potential solutions. They are now completing their education knowing we are behind them 100%.
